This new service is a game changer for developers and companies working with macOS for their operational needs. By allowing access to Mac Minis in the cloud, the organization is giving users the ability to utilize macOS power and flexibility while also benefiting from Amazon Web Service’s scalability.

To use macOS for app development, testing or other tasks traditionally required physical Mac Mini hardware which developers had to keep.

This could be inconvenient as well as expensive since it did not allow scalability which comes with using cloud services. Now that there are Mac Mini instances available on AWS, people can access MacOS environments whenever they need them without having any physical hardware to maintain.

These Mac Mini instances on AWS come with Intel Core i7 processors and 32GB RAM which grants enough resources for smooth application running by developers. Also, different storage options including Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) are available so businesses can configure their environment according to specific requirements.

Amazon says it will install M1 Mac minis in its data centers early next year. It thinks demand for Intel-based Macs will remain for as long as those Macs are in use. The company says it will make new AMIs available each time Apple updates its OS. The cost is $1.083 per hour, billed by the second, which is around $26/day.

David Brown, Amazon EC2’s Vice President has said “This is a game changer for developers who want to build great apps for Apple users. With EC2 Mac instances, developers can now provision and manage macOS workloads in the cloud for the first time, adding more elasticity to the AWS Cloud, and helping them deliver better experiences for their customers.”

All this means that putting Mac Mini inside AWS centers around a key point on the road of hosting services. The idea behind it is very simple if you are using Amazon’s web service (AWS), you can buy hardware resources without having them physically present within your office.

Offering macOS environments in the cloud allows businesses and individual developers access to powerful machines with infinite scalability options; something that was not possible before this announcement was made public knowledge.

This feature doesn’t just make everything easier but also saves money especially when running multiple environments simultaneously because they share resources such as CPU power which reduces costs significantly.

Moreover, it shortens development cycles while increasing productivity at the same time since people don’t have to wait long periods before getting their hands dirty coding away their desired applications any longer.

As Amazon Web Services continues its rapid growth into different areas so too will new products come out catering specifically to different needs people might have.

The availability of Mac Mini instances on AWS marks a significant milestone in cloud computing. By offering macOS environments in the cloud, AWS is providing developers and businesses with a powerful, scalable, and flexible solution for their macOS-based needs.
